Welcome to the home page for the Woodburn Livability Task Force.  The Task Force was created by the City Council in early 1999 to work with the residents of Woodburn to develop a vision for a more livable Woodburn, a Woodburn that is a great place to be for residents and visitors alike.

Thanks to all of those groups and individual who came out and volunteered at the Woodburn Fall Cleanup event held on October 5th.  Cleanup events have become an annual tradition in Woodburn, and we invite all members of the community to join in this tradition in April and October of 2005.

The Task Force has also worked to make the vision of a more livable Woodburn a reality.  Task Force members planned and implemented a number of projects, including:

Bi-Annual Woodburn Cleanup Days during Spring and Fall, regularly bringing together over 80 volunteers from the community;
Hanging over 100 flower baskets along the major thoroughfares in the City;
The Home and Business of the Year awards program.

The Task Force meets monthly in the City Hall Conference Room (270 Montgomery Street).  Issues the Task Force is currently addressing include working with the City Attorney and Police Department to recommend revisions of the code enforcement ordinances to the City Council, developing a media campaign to raise community awareness about code enforcement issues, and supporting the City's effort toward urban renewal.

If you have any questions or comments, or are interested in attending the next meeting, the Task Force can be contacted at (503)982-5228.
