Councilor Eric Morris - Ward 6
Term of Office:Eric Morris was selected as Councilor of Ward 6 in 2009. His current
term expires in 2012.
Ward 6: Ward 6 includes that portion of the City lying east of Front St. from State Hiway 214 south to E. Lincoln St. to the City Limits.
It also includes the land lying south of E. Lincoln St. to Blaine St. between Gatch St. and Bryan St. including a portion of McKinley St.
Background: Eric is a life long native of Oregon and attended Tillamook High School graduating in 1986. Married to Cheryl in 1988, they
have two children Alexa and Zane. Eric and family moved to the City of Woodburn in 1995.
Professional Background: Eric was in the Navy as an Intelligence Specialist and is medically retired (1987). He was a Loss Prevention Specialist
for T.J. Maxx from 1988 to 1992. Eric also works for Fred Meyer starting as a Loss Prevention Manager and Investigator and is currently Fred Meyer's Loss Prevention Regional
Manager.
Civic Activities: Eric is currently on the Woodburn School Board as Director being elected to that position May 2009. He is also Vice-Chair
to the Woodburn Weed and Seed Steering Committee and was member of the Woodburn Parks and Recreation Board during 2008 - 2009.
