Music in the Park 2010

Billy and the Rockets
August 3 - 7:00pm

A little country twang mixed with some Southern Delta Blues will have you tappin' your toes to one of the hottest novelty bands to hit the Northwest. Billy & the Rockets, a five piece combo of "hep cats" from the Willamette Valley, perform a fast paced, hard driving show reminiscent of the early days of raw rockabilly and rhythm & blues.

Join us for a fun evening of vintage sound on National Night Out, Tuesday, August 3 at 7:00pm.  See you there!

Roundhouse
August 10 - 7:00pm

Roundhouse performs music from a variety of genres using bluegrass instrumentation and beautiful harmonies. Bluegrass, folk, southern and classic rock, a cappella, gospel, country, blazing instrumentals and original compositions all appear in the band's repertoire.

Come help us welcome Roundhouse back to Music in the Park on August 10 at 7:00pm!

Summer is the time for Music in the Park! The popular series combines new performers and sounds, along with several old favorites, to make this an exciting season. Weekly concerts, presented every Tuesday evening in July and August, begin at 7:00pm in Library Park, located in front of the library on the corner of Garfield and First Streets. This summer, Music in the Park is expanding into the Downtown Music & Market Festival. Food vendors (Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant and Coastal Creamery Ice Cream) will be on hand so concertgoers can have dinner or a snack as they enjoy the performance. These free concerts are open to the public. Everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy this wonderful community event.

The Friends of Woodburn Public Library finance the concert series through donations from various businesses and community organizations. YES Graphics/Woodburn Printing is a major contributing sponsor for the 2010 series and will help fund every concert. A generous contribution from the Woodburn Area Association for Senior Programs (WAASP) finances the professional sound enhancement provided by PDX Audio.
