Bids and RFP's offered by other departments and divisions within the City will be posted on the host department's web site, with links on this page (no bids or RFP's are currently open through other departments). The information and documents below pertain to Engineering projects only.

When projects are advertised for bid by the Engineering Division, they will be advertised here as well as in the Daily Journal of Commerce. Application forms and bid results can also be downloaded here. Bid openings dates and times are listed in the bid advertisement documents listed below. The bid plan holders list will be updated regularly until the bids are due. The projects are arranged from most to least recent.

Downtown Transit Facility Invitation to Bid

Sealed proposals for a Downtown Transit Facility for the City of Woodburn, Oregon, will be received by the City of Woodburn at City Hall Annex, 190 Garfield St., Woodburn, OR 97071 until BID CLOSING at 2:00 p.m., local time, on the 11th of March, 2010 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. No bids will be received after the BID CLOSING TIME. First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure forms will be received at the above mentioned location and date until 4:00 p.m. local time.

The work contemplated consists of removing and disposing of 1900 square feet of existing concrete surfacing, 285 L.F. of type “C” curb, and 2,500 square feet of AC surfacing; relocate a bus shelter; disassemble an existing canopy and transport parts to a City facility; construct 1275 square feet of an 8” reinforced commercial driveway, 3240 square feet of an 8” reinforced concrete parking lot; install 120 LF of 6” D.I. pipe; install 80 ft of 2” electrical conduit, one street light (16 ft cast aluminum anchor base with an acorn style luminaire); install permanent paving markings, ten curb stops, two bollards, and one ADA access ramp; job site restoration.

Water System Extension to Shalimar, Driftwood and Chateau Ranchettes

Sealed proposals for a Water Extension to Shalimar, Driftwood, and Chateau Ranchettes for the City of Woodburn, Oregon, will be received by the City of Woodburn at City Hall Annex, 190 Garfield St., Woodburn, OR 97071 until BID CLOSING at 2:00 p.m., local time, on the 12th of January, 2010 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. No bids will be received after the BID CLOSING time. First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure forms will be receieved at the above mentioned location and date until 4:00 p.m. local time.

The work contemplated consist of construction of approximately 11,500 lineal feet of 6-inch, 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water mains, a 16-inch diameter DR 11 HDPE water main installed beneath Mill Creek using horizontal directional drilling techniques, a 30-inch diameter steel casing and 12-inch ductile iron carrier pipe installed beneath Highway 99E using boring and jacking techniques, approximately 200 water meters, a water meter reading system, valves, hydrants, fittings and appurtenances, surface restoration, and traffic control. Optional work includes decommissioning, demolition and removal of four private well pump and well house facilities, and permanent abandonment of four wells.

Requests for Quotes for Concrete Work on Young St.

City of Woodburn, OR has a contract to overlay Young Street between OR Hwy. 99E and Front Street. The city is soliciting informal bids to remove and replace approximately 695 LF of Type C curbs, install 4 ADA ramps and remove and replace approximately 540 SF of 4-inch thick concrete sidewalk with in this area. Work MUST be completed by April 20th, 2010. No exceptions

Woodburn Transit System, Transit Plan Update Development

The City of Woodburn is requesting proposals from qualified firms for furnishing consultant services to develop and complete an updated transit plan. The funding available for the project includes an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act(ARRA) grant in the amount of $50,000.

Sealed proposals will be received until 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2010 by the Public Works Director, Woodburn Public Works Department, 190 Garfield Street Woodburn, OR 97071. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted. Proposals will not be accepted after the stated opening date and time. Late proposals will be returned to the vendor unopened. Analysis, Planning, Design, and Implementation of Water Supply Disinfection

The City of Woodburn is seeking Proposals for the analysis, planning, design, and implementation of disinfection for the City of Woodburn, OR, Drinking Water System. Preliminary assessment of alternatives indicates that chloramination has many desired attributes as a disinfection process sought by the City. Proposals submitted identifying alternatives to the chloramination process will be evaluated based upon the technical merit of the proposal. Interested Firms may submit proposals in accordance with the provisions in this Request for Proposals (RFPs). The RFP contains information relating to the services required and describes the criteria that will be used by the City in the selection of a firm to provide the described services. The selection will be made through a process of review and ranking technical and cost proposals through a Request for Proposals (RFP).
