Learn to Swim for Children

Aquatic Center Events for December

Below are the events planned for December. If you have any questions regarding any of the listed events, please call the Aquatic and Fitness Center at 503-982-5288.

• December 28^th and 29^th
• "Canned" Swimming
• The price of Admission is two (2) non-perishable, unopened food items. Peanut Butter, Tuna, Mac and Cheese, Cereal, Canned Fruits and Vegetables Pasta Sauce, or Chili are great examples!
• 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Regular Recreational Swim times. However, we will take your donations all day!)
• December 21^st through December 25^th
• The Aquatics Center will be closed these dates for Maintenance and Christmas
• December 31^st
• the Aquatics Center will be open until 3:30 p.m. and re-opening for regular hours January 2^nd. Happy New Year!

The Winter Out and About should be available after December 29^th. Be sure to sign up for new swimming lessons beginning the week of January 4^th.

A Message from the Center's Manager

"Water is such a powerful natural element. The pools and spa at the Woodburn Aquatic and Fitness Center harness that power, providing an environment that is soothing and restorative, as well as just plain fun! There are so many activities to choose from, with fantastic experiences awaiting everyone. You can take swimming lessons, swim for fun and fitness, participate in water exercise, or take advantage of our open recreation swims and lap swim times. We have dry land fitness equipment, a hot tub, and saunas. Look through the following web pages to find the programs and experiences that suit you. Swimming lessons and water fitness classes are listed in the Out and About Activity Guide, and monthly promotions and special activities will continue throughout the summer – so be sure to see what’s coming your way. May you and your family enjoy the water and fitness activities at your Aquatic Center. The Aquatic and Fitness Center's address is 190 Oak St.

Our Pool

The Woodburn Memorial Aquatic and Fitness Center opened in 1995 and features a 25 yard by 25 meter pool. An on-deck spa, a wading pool with a center fountain for small children, dry-land fitness equipment, and saunas in each locker room are also features of the indoor facility. The pool is home to high school teams as well as the year-round Woodburn Barracuda Swim Team. The pool is available for rentals, and interested people can be trained as lifeguards or swimming instructors. We have a 50 foot water slide, a rope swing, and other water toys that are fun for the whole family.
