Skate Camp
One day during the summer (date to be announced) Woodburn Recreation & Parks offers a skate camp. Camp will be one Saturday in July or early August in 2012. Evan Thomas teaches skating skills for beginners and experienced skaters. Snacks are included and this camp is for ages 7 and up. Check back in the Spring for more information.
- Price: $5.00 (Cheap!) for Beginners and the Experienced. Snacks and prizes will be included. Ages 7 and up.
- Location: Skate Park at Settlemier Park
Registration Deadline:1 day before the camp starts. You will need your skateboard, helmet, pads, and any other protective equipment you have. Camp will be taught by Evan Thomas.
Annual Skate Competition
- 2012 Skate Competition: Saturday, September 8, 2012
Every September Woodburn Recreation & Parks sponsors the annual Woodburn Skate Competition sponsored in part by Fall Line Skate Shop in Silverton. Skate Competition includes professional skate demo, judges, DJ, live band, and a free shirt. There are 3 open classes; skaters are to pick their own class – Beginner, Intermediate, & Open.
