The City of Woodburn requests proposals from qualified Construction Management/ General Contractors (CM/GC) for the Woodburn Community Center Project. The project will renovate & expand the Woodburn Aquatic Center by adding 16,000-18,000 square feet, bringing the total facility size to approximately 31,000-33,000 square feet. The project would add a 3,400 sq. ft. dividable event space with commercial kitchen, cardio, weights and group facilities, new locker rooms, reception and staff offices, existing aquatic center upgrades and an expanded parking lot.
City Council Approves Scaled-Back Community Center Project, No Additional Cost to Taxpayers
At the January 27, 2025 City Council meeting, members voted to move forward with a revised plan for the community center project, capitalizing on the $15 million grant awarded to Woodburn by the State of Oregon. This funding will allow the City to use available resources to upgrade the existing Aquatic Center and expand it to incorporate essential community center features without incurring additional costs to local taxpayers.
