A recent announcement by the federal government advising of increased immigration enforcement to begin across the country next week is likely to cause fear and confusion in our Woodburn community.

As Woodburn’s Chief of Police, I want to assure members of our community that our mission is to provide public safety services to all persons in our community, regardless of status.

Technology is forever evolving. Keeping up with those advancements is critical to a City government, as it improves upon services provided to both its departments and the community at large. The City of Woodburn employs the use of a Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS), or a "drone" as it's more commonly referred to. 

What exactly is a drone?

Whether for carnivals, festivals, or fireworks, flea market, flower, mattress, mobile food services, Christmas tree, or other sales of merchandise or service that is neither accessory to a primary, permanent use of the property, nor marketed by employees of that permanent use, the Temporary Outdoor Marketing Permit is applicable.
