Captain Thomas P. Tennant was killed in the line of duty on December 12, 2008 when a bomb detonated at a local Woodburn bank during an extortion attempt.  Captain Tennant was 51 years old at the time of his death and had served WPD for 28 years. He is survived by his wife and three children.
