Woodburn Memorial Transit Facility (Park & Ride)

The “Woodburn Memorial Transit Facility”, located off Evergreen Rd and Hwy 214, is now open and in service.

The Cascades POINT bus service, operated by MTR Western in partnership with ODOT, makes 2 daily northbound stops and 2 daily southbound stops at the new transit facility.  Riders can buy tickets to go as far as Eugene to the south, and Portland to the north.  Schedule and ticket information is available at the website and the Amtrak Cascades site.

The City is also actively involved in service coordination discussions with other transit providers to develop plans for regional transit service at the facility.  We are hopeful that a partnership with SMART (City of Wilsonville) and Salem-Keizer Transit can be developed that will involve the Salem-Wilsonville Express bus serving the Woodburn Memorial Transit Facility.  However, it is likely to be a few years before funding, timing, and capacity issues can be addressed in a manner that will allow that to happen.

We are also encouraging vanpool and car pool use of the facility.  “Valley Vanpool” is a good resource for individuals in search of vanpooling opportunities, and “Drive Less Connect” is a good resource for carpooling opportunities.  We are also working to develop partnerships with private shuttle operators (airport, casino, etc.) that would permit them to utilize the facility, as well.

The Woodburn Memorial Transit Center facility boasts plenty of parking for park & riders, maintaining:

  • 133 parking spaces
  • 29 compact parking spaces
  • 6 wheelchair parking spaces
  • 2 charging spaces
  • 1 space for Woodburn Transit
  • 1 space for the POINT bus
  • 2 bus spaces

Stay tuned, as you should see service to the Woodburn Transit Center continue to expand over the next few years.
