Introducing the 2023 Woodburn Fiesta Mexicana Court!

 

Fiesta Mexicana Court members are junior/seniors from Woodburn and surrounding school districts.  Members are evaluated according to their demonstrated commitment to academics, community service, as well as their performance during official Fiesta Court functions.

 

Join us in the Downtown Woodburn Plaza on Saturday, August 12, beginning at 4:00 p.m. for the Queen coronation and car show event! Coronation will be between 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Member of the Honors Society, Mujeres Club and American Eagle

“Being in the Fiesta Court has been something that I've been wanting to do since Elementary school. Having the opportunity to show where I come from and what I can bring into this community as a first-generation member in my family has been something extraordinary.”

“I am interested in being part of the Fiesta Court because I want other young girls to recognize and embrace who they are within their culture without feeling shamed, and to give them the reassurance that they don’t need to look or think a certain way to apply and accept an opportunity of any kind.”

Involved with Latinos Unidos Siempre, Capaces Leadership Institute, Anahuac and TURNO
“I am interested in being involved with the Fiesta because I want to be more actively involved with the community while developing my leadership skills that will later be practiced along my life journey.”
 


Gervais High School 
Involved in Aguilas De Oro for four years
Participated in Latino Night, Mayfest, Volleyball and volunteered at home games

“I attended a small school and I've performed at events. I want to continue being in front of an audience and still have confidence in myself. I love volunteering because I love helping others and it makes me proud of myself.”  

 


Woodburn High School 
Held a 4.0 GPA in high school while maintaining positions as President of NHS, Captain of WHS Varsity Dance, Senior Committee Member, Link Crew, Dia De Los Ninos Celebration Volunteer (2022) and more
