Design Standards

Current design standards are as follows:

·       Basic Wind Speed: V 98 Exposure B  (for Risk Category ll)

·       Seismic Design: Site Class D

·       Snow Load: 25 psf (rain-on-snow surcharge)

·       Frost Depth: 12 inches

·       Soil Classification: Geotechnical Report is required to determine soil conditions

Demolition Permits

The Building Division requires a demolition permit to demolish any home, structure, and/or building that required a building permit to construct.  

For full details of obtaining a demolition permit, review the Demolition Policy at the bottom of this page. With your online application, upload a detailed site plan and proof of property ownership in order for staff to review the permit request.  Once the application is reviewed for compliance and approved, fees can be paid and the permit will be issued. 

Residential Demolition Permit Fee: $300

Request for Proposals - Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update

The City of Woodburn, Oregon is requesting proposals from qualified firms for furnishing consultant services to develop and complete an updated Parks and Recreation Master Plan will be incorporated into the City of Woodburn’s comprehensive master plan. The update will account for development and growth that has occurred in the City since the Parks and Recreation Master Plan was updated in 2009.

Where Can Marijuana Dispensaries Be Located in Woodburn?

Woodburn Development Ordinance (WDO) 2.07.19 regulates where marijuana dispensaries can locate. To summarize, they are limited to industrial zones and have additional provisions that must be met:

  • Cannot be located within 1,000 feet of public or private schools, child care facilities, public parks and recreation facilities, residential zoning districts, or another dispensary.
